Anthony (Tony) W. Hafner is an associate at the law firm of McCarthy, Leonard & Kaemmerer where he specializes in commercial, business, and construction litigation and represents the firm’s clients in all aspects of litigation through trial or arbitration.
Tony graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and English and later earned his Juris Doctorate from Washington University School of Law in 2004. While at Washington University, he was a member and primary editor of the Washington University Global Studies Law Review.
Prior to joining McCarthy, Leonard & Kaemmerer, Tony served as a felony-trial prosecutor for the Circuit Attorney of St. Louis, where he gained first-hand trial experience through multiple jury trials. Thereafter, he worked as a litigator at a prominent local insurance-defense firm specializing in commercial, business, and construction litigation. He is a licensed attorney in both state and federal courts in Missouri and Illinois, including the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Missouri and Southern District of Illinois.
As a litigator, he has prosecuted and defended numerous cases involving complex business and construction disputes up through and including trial and has experience in the areas of business litigation, construction, product liability, and professional liability. He has also achieved favorable results for clients through alternative dispute resolution.
In trials or pre-litigation matters, he assists business owners, executives and insurance companies through the procedural aspects of litigation while trying to obtain the best results for his clients.
